Martin Luther King Jr. Week
Rev. Carolyn Tyler Guidry, presiding elder of the African-American Methodist Episcopal Church in California’s 5th Episcopal district, will speak at 10 a.m. in the All-Seminary chapel at First Congregational Church in Pasadena. From 3 – 6 p.m. there will be a roundtable discussion titled, “ Is Martin Luther King Jr’s Message Relevant for Today ? ” This will be held in Payton 101 on Fuller’s Pasadena campus.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 15
Rev. Katherine Farley, from New Hope Baptist Church in Denver will speak at 10 a.m. in the All-Seminary chapel in Travis Auditorium on the Pasadena campus. Followed by an open house in the African-American Church Studies Office. A banquet will be held at 7 p.m. in Payton 101 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund. Cost is $ 35 per person,

FRIDAY, JANUARY 16
Worship Enrichment Seminar
Seminar participants will learn and practice various aspects of worship facilitation. Topics include: public reading of Scripture, the use of humor in the pulpit, the use of art in worship and ministry, and leadership in the worship celebration. Co-Sponsored by the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts; and the Office of Field Education. From 10 a.m. - Noon on the Pasadena campus.
